The numbers just don't add up. 400 (more like 370, but...) students is far from my ideal, and part of the reason I'm leaving for another University is the promise of being able to teach classes with twenty people in them. I would be happy with twice or even three times that number. Unfortunately, the university continues to admit more students without keeping up with faculty hires, which means that you are unlikely to see regular faculty in smaller classes. :( I share the size frustration.
